Masque of Queens video now live

We are thrilled to announce that the recording of The Masque of Queens was published right at the end of 2016 as part of King’s College London’s Shakespeare 400 programme. You can watch the masque and read an accompanying blog post here:

Masque of Queens tickets available

The performance will take place between 5pm and 6.30pm in New College Chapel (entrace via Holywell Street, Oxford) on 11 August 2016, and will feature period dances and music alongside a performance of a slightly adapted script.

Masque performance

We are delighted to announce that The Masque of Queens, by Ben Jonson and Inigo Jones, will be performed on 11 August as part of the conference, in the stunning Chapel at New College, Oxford. The event will be open to the general public, and will be filmed; conference delegates will have reserved seating. The masque will be directed by Emma Whipday, and will feature historical recreations of early modern dance with period musical accompaniment.
